The Red Devils, Manchester United visited White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham who were mauled 6-0 by Manchester City in their last EPL game. United fought back twice through Wayne Rooney to deny Tottenham of a much sought-after victory.
Kyle Walker put Tottenham ahead with a well taken free kick in the 18th minute, but united equalized 14 minutes later through a Phil Jones cross that bounced off Tottenham’s scorer, Kyle Walker boot and into Rooney’s path. Tottenham was able to regain the lead again through a 25-yard shot from Brazilian midfielder Sandro Raniere.
Within three minutes United were able to level again as Danny Welbeck was brought down in the 18 yard box by Hugo Lloris, and Wayne Rooney converted the subsequent penalty kick.
Tottenham will take on Fulham in their next game, and they must find a way to beat Fulham to alleviate the pressure on Andre Villas-Boas. Just as Totttenham is under pressure to do well, Fulham is also under intense pressure as they sacked Martin Jol as their manager on Sunday, and both teams badly need a win.
